Stand Still Chapter 2
Time stands still when
The last words were either cut off or never spoken, the quote was never finished.
I walked down the dimly lighted city backstreet cautiously. My mind felt like it was being torn between excitement and absolute misery. This was a seriously screwed up street too, I had passed a bordello, 6 drug dealers, and a coven of devil worshippers sacrificing a goat. I honestly wanted to go in there and yell at the devil worshippers, not really because I disagree with their practice (Im not really religious) but just because I felt sorry for the goat. But I decided to pass by quietly so not to disturb them.
I looked up at the sky for a brief moment just to have something less scary to look at. All I saw was a moon
I saw absolutely nothing else but a HUGE harvest moon covering all of my view, there was no skyline to whatever sleeping city I was in yet all around me there were bars, restaurants, and apartment buildings. I started to panic, this makes no sense, I started running down the lonely alley of a street dodging scruffy homeless people in makeshift cardboard homes.
I ran out of energy quickly, this had to be a dream. I was 99.9% sure this was a dream, aside from the skylineless city in which Ive never seen and the fact that a moon cant cover the sky there was one more thing that was wrong with this
there was nothing good happening. I havent had a nightmare or a do nothing dream since I was 6 so ten years ago, something good always happens in my dreams.
As I was pondering this I spotted something that might turn this twisted dream around.
Oh
My
God a gay bar!! I exclaimed
I knew something good was gonna happen in this dream. I had never really been into a gay bar outside of dreams, but I love dreaming of them.
I half skipped into the strobe light filled bar. Techno music was playing in the background, I love techno but this song was pretty annoying, it sounded a lot like a series of loud annoying beeps with a bit of bass at a low tone. This bar was exactly as the other bars that are ever in my dreams full of multicolored lights and full of hot male model looking men dancing shirtless. I strode over to the bar with so much exhilaration that the feeling of misery was thrown out of mind. I plopped down onto a bar stool and the bartender turned around from cleaning glasses.
I almost fell over from sheer shock that any man could ever be that gorgeous. If you can imagine Channing Tatum and David Beckham having a baby it would be this guy. He had short buzzed hair, flawless skin, and a perfect square jaw.
Uh, are you going to order anything hun? he said in a husky, deep voice that didnt match the hun part of the sentence at all. His baby blue eyes and boyish features were soft though. It was actually a fascinating mix.
I realized I was staring, and I couldnt really stop staring. This guy was too perfect, too flawless to be real, which only further confirmed that I was dreaming.
Uhm no
no thanks I managed to croak out of my trembling lips.
Ok, if you change your mind just call, names Ben by the way he said cheerfully.
I nodded and he turned around to continue cleaning glasses. Seeing someone like that made me almost jealous of all the qualities he had and I lacked. Even if this was a dream I honestly envied his looks.
I looked him over once more, he had the body of a swimmer defiantly. Broad shoulders, an upside down triangle shaped body, and a very cute ass.
So you must get the staring a lot then? I asked him nervously suddenly feeling stupid about saying anything at all.
He burst out laughing actually I do my dear he said in such a warm inviting tone my apprehensive feelings were lifted
So do you model then? I asked him confidently
No
Why? You have all the features every man dreams of I pressed
He just grunted and turned to face me again, and in one swift movement he softly brushed his hands against my left cheek and placed a firm hand on the right.
Your really sweet Vinny he whispered
How do you
Ben rest his elbows on the bar counter so he was at my level, he leaned in.
This cant be happening I thought
I leaned closer to him, his sweet smell stimulating my emotion and deadening my thoughts. My heart was racing. His lips now brushed mine, only brushed them teasing me almost.
My Ben high ended abruptly, I opened one eye to see what was wrong and I was in my room. Ben was gone and so was the bar. The annoying techno music was my alarm going off. I sighed and just got ready for my Sunday.
